Original signed drawing by Mogens Andersen.
Mogens Andersen was a Danish artist known for his contributions to the field of concrete and conceptual art. Andersen played a significant role in the Danish art scene during the 1960s and 1970s and was associated with the Fluxus movement. Andersen's artistic practice focused on exploring the relationship between language, form, and meaning. He was particularly interested in the use of text and typography as artistic elements. He often created visual compositions using words, letters, and symbols, blurring the boundaries between visual art and written language.
In the initial phase of his career, Mogens Andersen created figurative paintings with earthy color palettes, yet his fascination with French Modernism grew. Following the Second World War, he immersed himself in extended stays in Paris until 1965, drawn by the allure of Abstract art.
