Signed and numbered lithograph by Preben Hornung.
Preben Hornung was a notable Danish painter and sculptor known for his contributions to abstract art in Denmark. His work spans several decades and reflects a deep engagement with form, color, and space. He was one of the most important artists of the Danish post-war period. After his debut from the Academy of Fine Arts in 1946, he worked especially with the city's motif world and moods. Initially, Hornung's work was influenced by the Danish figurative tradition, but he gradually moved towards abstraction and during his career he played a central role in the development of abstract art. His abstract compositions often explore the interaction between color and form, creating dynamic and harmonious visual experiences. He was interested in the balance and tension between different elements within a piece.
The piece is framed with an antique silver frame and with light passepartout and background.
